Opener Ice??

Very cool this morning, only about 24 degrees. The good news is that it is 24 above zero not below. The ice is continuing to move away from the shoreline. I took a boat out from the landing last night and tried to break ice. I did not get far until I found at least 12 inches of very solid ice. I am going to take another drive to the south end today to see how that is moving out. Sorry to say we will have ice on for opener 2013. The lake level has rose a bit more than anticipated but not unmanageable yet. Docks are still wanting for positioning in the water but that must wait until there is little or no danger of ice flows pounding the shoreline. Remember to watch the web cam on the web site.
